Somethings Country is a family owned and operated small business operating from Kingaroy in the South Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. The owner Janelle Frohloff runs this with the help of her family of husband Wayne and her 4 children. We also have a couple of part time ladies, that are more than willing to help with any enquiry. After our move in the last few years, we have now expanded to include a quilting shop, complete with fabrics, sewing parafanalia and lots of craft supplies and kits.
We are about 2.5 hours drive from Brisbane CBD, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay Coast (Bundaberg) and about 2 hours from Toowoomba. We are centrally located and as a town have lots to offer the discerning tourist or day trippr. With an abundance of wineries nearby, we have an award winning wine and cheese trail closeby. We are a short trip to the Bunya Mountains a very popular weekend getaway, with nature trails, and its unique rainforest appeal. You also may know Kingaroy as the peanut capital of Australia and Sir Joh and Lady Flo country.
The shop has been operating now for 20 years, but has been a dream of Janelle’s since she was 10 and walked into a craft shop and told her mum, that this is what she was going to do one day. 40 plus years later she never realized that is was such hard work, but loves it. Janelle makes a lot of craft herself, but with 4 children, 1 husband and a full time job, finds it very difficult to find the time. Instead she scours the local area for artisans as well as buys things from all over the country and overseas to bring a huge collection of country and shabby chic wares to you, the customer. I hope you agree that looking over the website is worth the time out. Now not everything that is in the shop is on the website, and sometimes it takes time to upload and change the new things, but she does best she can.

Where are you located? Our retail bricks and mortar shop is in Kingaroy, Qld, Australia. Our online store services customers worldwide.
How can I order? You can right here on the website, but if you are not certain or if you are hesitant, please phone us and we can take your order over the phone.
What are the sizes? For fabrics, most of our fabrics are by the fat quarter, but we will cut a larger size as well. Please see the table on the listing for more information. For everything else, we try to add the size in the description. If for some reason we have forgotten, please just ask via phone or email.
Do you Ship Internationally? Yes we ship to many different countries, if for some reason your country doesn’t come up on the options list, please contact us to add this for you.
What is your postage/Shipping costs? Right now our shipping is included for all Australian purchases. For international customers we charge a flat rate, as postage goes by weight, and we don’t know what you are going to order. So if there is a shortfall and postage is extra, we will contact you for the extra payment before sending to you.
What are your payment options? We offer online payments of credit cards, paypal and Afterpay.
What currency are your products? Our products are in AUD and include our GST.
What is your refund or change of mind policy? If your item is damaged in transit, we may ask you to prove the damage by sending us photos, as well as possibly taking the item to the post office for verification and possible postal settlement. We can organize a replacement or refund on the items. If you change your mind, you can return the item, however you will be asked to pay for the return postage, as we will deduct from the refund the original costs of postage.
